Your role offer email will arrive by Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Please allow the entire day & make sure you check your spam / junk mail folders before contacting IDT about where your offer email is. Following is the general information you will find in your email.
All roles require that you:
- Understand and agree to the Participation Agreement
- Are available for the performances dates and all rehearsals at the Civic Center. For these dates, click here: DATES & DEADLINES
- Share all pertinent information with those in your family that need to be aware of your commitment, especially the rehearsal schedule. A link to the schedule will be in your role offer email
- Respond by the date listed on the offer in the manner described
Type of roles (with the associated code):
- (5) Five performance role – plan to be in every performance, including School Shows
- (3) Three performance role – plan to be in every public performance, but not in the School Shows
- (A) Alternating role – this role may be double or triple cast. You will have at least one performance in this role; your show(s) will be assigned to you at the costume fitting / parent meeting
- (U) Understudy role – you should attend rehearsals and be ready to dance this role if for some reason a dancer is unable to perform the role. It is possible that you will not be called upon to perform this role
Options if you would miss more than two rehearsals for the role offered:
- Request to be considered for a different role with a rehearsal schedule to which you can commit. Be aware, we cannot guarantee another role will be available to you, and you may need to attend the Second Chance Audition in order for us to determine an alternate role
- Understudy the role, come to as many rehearsals as you can and, if someone cannot perform the role, be available to step into the role
- Decline to participate this year. We hope you would plan to attend the shows and take on the important role of “audience”
