IDT’s Spring Show 2019 was a classic ballet of a tale of curiosity and consequence entitled “Pandora’s Box”. The performance was on Saturday March 16th at 6pm at Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Ave.
Iowa Dance Theatre’s artistic team member Beth Adams organized guest choreographers IDT alumni Dora Novak, Gabby Leonard, Jill Kragie as well as Hank Adams, Jennifer Bruggeman and Janice Baker. Each choreographer contributed to bringing to life a glimpse at how curiosity can have tragic consequences but how hope can become a redeemer.
Cast members were from the following area dance schools: Becky Nalevanko’s Dance and Tumbling Studio, Currie Dance Studio, The Dance Place, The Dans Company, Des Moines Danzarts Studio, Iowa Ballet Academy, Johnston Dance Academy, The Pointe Academy, Superstars Performing Arts and Westside Dance Academy.
