Dora Novak performed as the Snow Queen in IDT’s Nutcracker 2006, and had held many roles since she started in 2000 as a Soldier. She was the choreographer for “Ta tertot”, a Modern piece in Iowa Dance Theatre’s Spring Show 2018 – Every Body Dances.
Dora grew up in Des Moines, where she started her love for dance, choreography and design, beginning her dance education at The Pointe Academy. Following admission to SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory, she expanded her knowledge and practice through their Composition Concentration program. She also studied Design Tech and made costumes for fellow students. While in new York, she danced with In-sight Dance, H-T Chen, Ballet Des Ameriques, Keen Dance Theater, BalletInc, and toured with Janusphere Dance and Kinetics works.
Ms. Novak has had the pleasure of working with her own company, ‘The Novomisle Project’, who performed at numerous venues and festivals.
