Bailey Thompson has been performing with Iowa Dance Theatre since 2012, when she was a Mouse. Besides having many roles in Nutcracker, she also participates in Dracula and other Spring Shows. She was co-choreographer for “Can’t Find My Place”, a Hip Hop piece in Iowa Dance Theatre’s Spring Show 2018 – Every Body Dances.
Bailey currently attends Prairieview School in Waukee and has been dancing since the age of 4. She takes dance classes at both Iowa Ballet Academy and Westside Dance Academy, having studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop. Bailey has also performed roles with Yaro Dance Company and Ballet Des Moines. She has gravitated towards hip hop from a very young age. Looking to expand her knowledge, she has participated in local hip hop workshops through Midwest Vision and The Remix.
