Every Body Dances, our Spring Show 2018, was performed at the Levitt Theater in the Des Moines Art Center on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Production Director / Choreographers Janice Baker and Elizabeth Adams, along with choreographers Dora Novak, Ilima Young-Dunn, Bailey Thompson and Brett Thompson created a varied program with hula, modern, ballet, swing, tap and hip hop styles. The idea for the performance was inspired almost 2 years ago by a fellow dance teacher’s experience with an elderly gentleman who used dance to overcome the grief of losing his beloved wife. Dancers and teachers worked together to use dance to communicate, connect communities, express joy, and work thru sad and trying times.
