For over fifteen years, Iowa Dance Theatre has been presenting our Dracula show. The performance follows the mysterious Dracula traversing times and places on the quest for his true love, Marie, a symbol of ultimate goodness. Befriended by bats and zombies, Dracula struggles between good and evil. Over centuries, Dracula courts Marie in places such as Kiev, the Paris Opera, a street corner in New York, a rehearsal hall, a cabaret, and his castle, where each encounter gives a historic look at the style of dance from the time period.
